Description
The Bariki Shad was created to produce significant vibrations regardless of recovery speed. It is indeed able to swim at very low speed as well as at a steady pace. A vertical location in the tail allows you to add a small diameter leaded insert to further amplify the vibrations produced by the lure. This location can also be used for the insertion of a rattle (ball chamber) to associate a high frequency sound with the movement of the lure. Its dense material containing salt crystals and loaded with attractant makes it a fairly solid lure despite its soft rubber. This lure can be used on a jig head as well as on a 5/0 size Texan hook (a ventral slot and another dorsal facilitate the assembly of this type of hook). Note a small extra thickness of material on the back of the lure which protects the tip of a Texan hook from snags and suspended matter.
