Baitbox Sardines x 5

A very effective dead bait on many venues. These oily sea fish have a strong scent and a lovely silver sheen. The only downside with sardines is that they are very soft bait and so need to be used straight from frozen if possible.

Whatever they lack in toughness they more than makeup for in pike-catching, so sardines are a must for any cool bag.

For best usage

The sardines are around 7 inches in length, so are best used on a size 6 Twin Treble Trace. To help hold the hooks in place use a couple of wraps of Bait Elastic around the hooks and bait, or use Deadbait Retainer, which we originally developed specifically for use with sardines.
